Afternoon Tea

Taking Tea at the Jane Austen Fest. A four course Tea is offered on Saturday, February 8th, at 3 different sittings (times below).

Tea as you all know was instituted for women as women wore corsets which made their stomachs rather small. Lunch was around 1:00 PM and dinner was at 8:00 PM. So Tea began as a cup of tea and a snack. As Tea became a wee bit more sophisticated, it provided a wee bit more food. Tea is known for its small bits of food and is usually very pleasingly displayed on the serving plate.

Generally Our Afternoon Tea includes our specially blended Tea, Divine Jane, Scones, Savories (sandwiches), Sweets (desserts) with three different Savories and Sweets.

Enjoy a delightful four-course afternoon tea. You may be seated with guests outside your party. We will attempt to seat large groups (6) together. However, the group may be separated and seated at nearby tables. Please arrive on time for your reservation. Arriving late may result in the forfeiture of your seats.

Purchased admission to the festival is required to register for the teas. Tea Seating cancellations are non-refundable after purchase.

Note: there may be a limited number of tickets available to purchase the day of the festival.
