Spencer Jacket Silent Auction

Welcome to our Spencer Jacket Silent Auction!

What is a Spencer Jacket?

The Spencer Jacket Silent Auction is a collection of 10 jackets of different sizes, fabrics, and limited design. There will be a starting price and then participants will up the price by $5.00 by writing their bid on the auction sheet. The Start will be Friday at 3:00 pm and will continue until 3:00 pm on Saturday.

The History of the Spencer Jacket dates back to 1758 and the 2nd Earl of Spencer is reportedly to have had a tail coat adapted after its tails were burned by coals from a fire. He backed up to a fire to warm himself and the tails caught on fire. Does the name Spencer ring a bell? Princess Diana is the daughter of the 8th Earl of Spencer.
