Look for him under an umbrella table on the back deck of the Pavillion in the park. Or he might surprise you and be where you least expect him: at Tea, listening intently at a speaker or wherever.

The third child of an Air Force officer, he has lived in many places including Germany and South Carolina. He has been drawing and painting for most of his life. He studied art and graphic design at the University of South Carolina and computer animation at Full Sail University. He is also a Certified Ross Instructor in the Wet-on-Wet Oil painting technique popularized by the public television artist Bob Ross. Matthew carries his sketchbook where ever he goes and captures the people and places he sees. He has as many filled sketchbooks as he has empty ones waiting to be drawn in.
He is married to an ardent Jane Austen enthusiast who enjoys dressing him up in Regency period clothing and attending English Country Dances and Jane Austen Festivals.
