Hot Air Balloon Rides

CANCELLED!

I am still reeling from an unfortunate phone call this afternoon. The Hot Air Balloon people called to say the wind forecast for Sunday is predicted way over the 8 MPH wind velocity that is safe for a tethered balloon ride so they have cancelled.

I have wanted to do a Hot Air Balloon since the first Fest and thought we had accomplished it this year but alas…I guess not this year.

Of course, all monies will be refunded for the ride.

Please know all other plans are going forward to a successful celebration of the woman we all admire. You can’t plan a Fest without a few glitches but that all will be straightened out by the time you get here.

Dr. Ann Wass is going to speak on Sunday morning in the auditorium. Her PhD is on Historical clothing so she will be talking about fashion, a subject we are all interested in.

All I can say is that I am probably more disappointed than you are. But we are still gathering together to celebrate our gal. Happy 250th Jane.
