Hair Updo Workshop
BY ELIZABETH (BETTINA) WENDT

Elizabeth (Bettina) Wendt has cultivated a lifelong love of the Regency Era, blending historical dance, elegant hairstyling, and the arts into her teaching and community involvement. Her passion for Regency culture began in 2011 while living in Illinois, when contra dancing was introduced at her daughters’ high school. Becoming involved with the local dance group sparked a deep appreciation for period dance traditions, leading her to teach Regency dance both within her community and at special events.

In addition to dance, Elizabeth brings a refined eye for historical beauty through Regency-inspired hair styling. She has taught mother–daughter updo classes through Kreative Kreations and Ultimate Classes and Parties in Illinois, sharing techniques that celebrate grace, connection, and timeless style.

A published poet, Elizabeth authored “Poetry That Awakens the Heart” in 2015. Her love of poetry aligns naturally with the Regency Era, a time when verse played a vital role in social expression, romance, and reflection.

Elizabeth’s artistic background also includes teaching beginning ballet and tap at the YMCA in Boca Raton and Boynton Beach, Florida. Earlier in her career, she worked as a Chicago model and appeared in a small speaking role in the film, “Vice Versa”. Whether through dance, literature, or hairstyling, Elizabeth delights in bringing history to life and inviting others to step into the elegance and spirit of the past.
